I recently took a road trip to cross an important item off my bucket list: play golf at Pinehurst. Everything was idyllic from the time we pulled up to the resort until the time I tapped in my par putt on the 18th green at the historic No. 2 course. Maybe it was the southern hospitality or just the sheer joy of golfing in January while my hometown was buried in snow, but the entire trip was pure magic.
