A Conversation With Rob Walling
TinySeed is the first startup accelerator designed for founders who would traditionally bootstrap. The accelerators most of us are familiar with (YCombinator, TechStars, 500 Startups, etc.) focus on unicorns (companies that will be worth $1 billion or more). If you apply to YCombinator with a SaaS product that can grow to $10 million per year in recurring revenue, it’s unlikely you’ll get chosen, as the idea is too small. But my experience running MicroConf and speaking with thousands of gifted and motivated SaaS founders is that there is a large untapped market of small companies that may not grow to unicorn status but can be highly profitable tech businesses.
